Morgan Advanced Materials was highly commended for its rapid deployment of a payables finance solution that helped it improve its cash flow by a targeted $10 million within months. Judges praised the solution as strategically strong, operationally lean and highly scalable.
Seeking flexibility
Amid an uncertain economic backdrop, Morgan Advanced Materials – which supplies specialist materials used to produce ceramics, carbon and composites – wanted the flexibility to boost its cash flow within days as required.
It therefore opted for Orbian’s Flex Pay solution, which enables firms to deploy payables finance at the entity level, across multiple currencies and without being slowed down by interactions with internal Procurement teams or suppliers.
After implementing Flex Pay in May 2025, Morgan Advanced Materials was able to finance over $40 million through nine buying entities in EMEA and North America over just four months.
Simple, efficient deployment
Judges were impressed by how quickly and efficiently Morgan Advanced Materials launched and implemented the solution, with a simple, controlled approach that minimised the work load for Accounts Payable teams. After securing buy-in from the CFO and Board, the company’s Group Treasurer smoothed the way for shared service centres across EMEA and North America to work independently with Orbian to complete required testing and go live.
Morgan Advanced Materials will continue to use Flex Pay strategically and is already preparing to deploy it in another region and across three more entities. It also has the option of deploying other payable solutions, such as supply chain finance, within the same legal framework.
